FAST (stroke) news story.

At Lauriem Complete Care, we take great pride in the high standards and results that our in-house training produces. We have received some fantastic praise relating to the quick actions of one of our dedicated care workers, and we wish to share it.

“Morning Jenny,

I wanted pass onto you some information I received today on your recent first aid training. One of our carers Jane Lamb attended. She said you did a scenario on a client slumped in a chair and went through the FAST (Stroke) information. Jane put this into practice on Monday and as a result, the clients’ wife got the correct immediate treatment needed. She suffered a stroke whilst Jane was present completing the visit record book on the chair next to her.

Client has since received the medical treatment needed and is recovering in a London hospital. Family has rung this morning to rely their thanks to the carer and the company on her training.

I have spoken to Jane to give her a update and Jane said it was her last First Aid training that stuck in her mind and she acted straight away. She knew what to do straight away.

I wanted to give you the feedback and pass on Jane’s thanks”

We are very thankful that our service user is now recovering and well. Many thanks to the training provided by our trainer Jenny and the quick actions and hard work of our carer.’
